About Seventh-day Adventist churches
Seventh-day Adventists worship on Saturday, the biblical Sabbath, and look forward to the imminent return of Jesus; the church took shape in the United States in the 1860s. Sabbath morning brings Sabbath School classes followed by a worship service of hymns, prayer and a sermon. Adventists are known for their emphasis on health and vegetarian diet, and for a worldwide network of schools and hospitals.
