About Wesleyan churches
The Wesleyan Church stands in the Methodist holiness tradition and was formed in 1968 from earlier bodies that had broken with Methodism over slavery and holiness teaching. Its churches emphasise a personal experience of God's grace, practical holiness and outreach, and worship is usually contemporary and family-friendly. Congregations are joined in districts under a general conference.
