About Mennonite churches
Mennonite churches come from the sixteenth-century Anabaptist movement and are named for the Dutch reformer Menno Simons. They practise believer's baptism, hold peace and non-violence as central to Christian life, and place a high value on community, simplicity and service. Congregations range from plain, traditional fellowships to modern churches indistinguishable in style from other Protestant congregations.
