About Evangelical churches
Evangelical churches share an emphasis on personal conversion, the authority of the Bible and the call to share their faith, and the label is used by congregations from many traditions as well as by independent churches. Worship is usually contemporary, with band-led music and expository preaching, and most run small groups and children's programmes. Because the term describes an outlook rather than a structure, two evangelical churches can differ considerably in style and governance.
