Cooperative Baptist Fellowship churches

About Baptist churches

Baptist churches trace their roots to the seventeenth-century English Separatists and hold that baptism is for people who have made their own profession of faith, by immersion. Each congregation governs itself and calls its own pastor, so Baptist churches vary widely even within the same association or convention. Worship centres on preaching from the Bible, congregational singing and a warm, informal welcome, and most run Sunday school for all ages.
